I may be shooting for a friend's brother's wedding in the near future - He told me about it on yesterday and how he may consider hiring me. Okay, I've done one of my colleague's weddings before in December so this won't be my first. However, he was on a budget and asked "whoever had a camera" to bring their decent gear along - I shot alongside another friend of his (who was using a 1D II N) and at the end of the day, gave him the photos for free.

This time, I'm considering to charge for my shooting so this will be my first paid gig :) , if I'm hired. I probably will be one of the secondary photographers - not the main one - so how do you guys recommend I charge? By hour or preset agreed amount? Either way, how much an hour or for the whole gig? Thanks.

If I had only assisted once... I probably wouldn't charge anything...

^^ Ditto that. Get experience first, get paid for quality work later ;)
