Nice shots. I've got a meet this weekend I am going to try to shoot. I'm intrigued by the field events, as it seems you can get some really neat angles and expressions.

I like the second shot of the pole vaulter, as he is completely free of the mats. The first one of him has better background (except for the dude in the hat). Doesn't that guy know you are taking pictures? :)

Which set up did you use? Looks like you had plenty of light.

I shot it sitting on the ground with with my Canon 30D with Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8. The others I used EF 100-400mm IS, thanks.
