About the general rule that you can only photograph the first 3 songs... After the songs are up, have any of you been allowed to stick around and watch the show? And also, are you allowed to photograph opening acts as well? Since they only sing about three songs anyways? Thanks for the help,
-Brandon

It varies - sometimes you can stick around for the show, other times no - depends on the promoter and band management. Same applies for shooting the support acts.

Generally I'm not under a 3 song rule, since I work for the venue.
I do try to be as undistracting as possible to the audience though, so tend to get away from the front of the stage after a few songs...

It is rather common where I live (Finland), that if there is a three-song rule, photographers are free to photograph the rest of the show from the audience. It doesn't hurt to ask the venue security about this.

Where do you watch from?
I don't. I normally sit in the production office yapping with the tourmanager.

I can always stay after the song limit but not shoot. I have a life so I often stay for two or three more songs (without my earplugs and in the back of the room) and then leave. For the second KISS concert I left after the two songs to see "Ice Age" with my five year (then four) year old in the park across the street, but I stayed for the whole first concert.
