a snippets question again

is there (or will there be) a way to add an offset mode in snippets?

e.g. for calling the latest, the second before latest etc... image?

and

is there (or will there be) a way to call the latest (or random) full size (big size) image via snippets code?

I'd love to add all nice stuff to snippets, but first I'll need to complete 1.5 release version. Technically speaking there are no restrictions what snippets can retrieve - if it is in database it can be fetched and if it needs any further data manipulation it can be done.
