I think the main use is for physical therapy, but I could see it being used for training as well.

Thanks for your comments everyone. The horse in the 2nd shot was a bit concerned about me lying on the sideboards but he's a brave lad - swam right on by. It was fun to shoot something a bit different with the horses.
