Macro Lens for the s50

Hi all,
I have the S50 and have been trying to create a macro shot of my watch. One at slow shutter speeds so one can see the seconds ticking. I am having lots of trouble doing so.
Some1 at work told me i should get a macro lens.
Can i really purchase a macro lens for the s50?

What exactly is the trouble you are having? Your camera has a macro mode, which will allow for close focusing (as close as 3.9 inches at wide angle.)
