i am getting ready to go on a trip through germany and the czech republic. i have never been to europe so as many of you can imagine i will be a little trigger happy. i own a 1D which as we all know is HEAVY.
i was wondering if any of you can tell me what the benifit to the 10D vs. the rebel is besides the heavier body...the chips are the same if i am right.
thanks

I think perhaps you could search this info out both here on this forum and on the internet in general... it's a subject thats been answered several thousand times I am sure. :)
You could start with this one.

Yeah, I think it was that CDS. Questions like this are fun to answer initially, but after 1800 times you see it on the boards, it just gets irritating.

Ahhh...I know I have answered this question a few times before and sent them to the 3rd/4th page (I think) of the review on www.dpreview.com for the 300D several times. That said...go there and check it out, www.dpreview.com and go to the reviews and then Canon, then 300D.

And I guess if you didn't want to answer the question for the 1801st time you don't have to, and could let someone else do it rather than posting a crabby reply about how many times it's been posted.
:P

or a crabby reply about a crabby reply.
Or a crabby reply about a crabby reply about ..... well, you know. :)

It wasn't meant to be crabby at all, I was just running with the post CDS made. There was some really subtle sarcasm there and again it was taken outta context. I need to start using :) in my posts. I'm almost sure Tom W saw it.

Dungeness or Alaskan King?
Would ya like some cheese with that crab. Wait. That isn't right...
Well anyway, it's been asked 1800 times and will be asked 1800 more times along with everything else that makes the rounds here and every other board on the planet.
Sometimes we forget that we were once newbies too. Let's all try and treat our new members kindly and with respect. And yes, sometimes we need to add the proper :) just as a courtesy for our sometimes whacky humor.
Some people think photography is all serious. We'll help teach them that is all wrong. We're just as weird as anyone else.

I'm leaving it as is, I will get in trouble otherwise regarding the crabs other than I hear that Alaskan King Crab costs a fortune in Alaska and it is realtively cheap elsewhere...go figure. I guess the regulars know how I am and too that the people that aren't regulars forgranted.

I think you've stepped over the line there Tom,.. that crabby reply to a crabby reply about a crabby reply was alltogehter too crabby for my tastes.. :?
If you intend to run around posting crabby replies to these crabby reolies that are strewn thru out the forum,. I think you'd better me less crabby about it,. you never know,. some of the crabby replies you are being crabby about might not be able to take it...
... they may too soft shelled

Now that I have let this sink in more,. since you have a 1D.. I'd think that a 300D/Rebel may be the better choice because it is so light.. :?
Hmmm.. although the 10D is not too bad either..
