We had a lot of fun out of town yesterday shooting a great wedding. The weather didn't cooperate at all, but we made the best of it.

these look really good, i especially like the vignetting in the last two.

They look good - but I dont like the fact I can't see much of her eyes in 2 & 5. Perhaps the light focus should have been more on them. :)

Great shots and I second the vignetting on the last two. Only issue I have is with #6, and it's probably because I am looking at it from work, but the umbrella looks like a part of his head (kinda like a wicked mohawk :) ) because I cannot see any of the detail on it.

4 and 8 are my favorites. Followed closely by 1 and 7.

Corey, these shots are absolutely amazing! I am a big fan of your style in them.

I really like the Midnight actions (or similar?) you used in a select few of them!

It's shots like these that really inspire me and make me want to be a wedding photog. I guess I'll see how the shoe fits this summer :)

Thanks all, it was a blast but a long long day (8am to 9pm plus 2 hours of driving each way)

We got to shoot with another photographer John Crozier who was the brother of the groom and a groomsmen, so he was limited to what all he could shoot.

Hi Corey,

I really like 1, 4, 5 a lot. Excellent use of light..

BTW I enjoyed meeting you and your beautiful wife the other day and all the other shooters too! Next time I will bring a real camera instead of my camera phone...ha ha.

Warm regards,
Joe

I really like these. I have a question. What causes the edges to fade in black and the center has a bit of a glow? Is that a PP technique or right from the camera?

I think your thinking of vignetting --- can be done in Photoshop, or easily when shooting RAW using the Vignetting sliders in ACR or Lightroom --- some lenses produce vignetting naturally and is often considered a 'flaw'.

I personally feel that vignetting works on almost every single portrait I take, as it takes the focus even more to the center than the eyes would - I actually probably overdo the vignetting --- seems to work so well in wedding images tho!
