Hello,

Wondering if you guys know anything about creating export actions for photos in Lightroom.

Do you guys know how to create actions in the "Export Actions" folder of Lightroom? Are they standard Photoshop actions?

Thanks,

Bryan

It can be used for shortcuts to other programs or Droplets for Photoshop. It can't be used directly for Photoshop actions, they need to be converted to droplets first.
If, for example, you wanted to process an image in a different editing package, you can create a shortcut to that program's .exe file in the export actions folder. Then create an Export Preset setting the Post processing - After Export option to the shortcut.

It does help, thanks.

Now what about this. I wrote a script that (the way I used to do it) takes in a text file with the location of the pictures I need to run the script on and does all the necessary things with those photos.

Do you see anyway I can incorporate this into my new LR workflow? Or would it be best to export them to an action and then select that folder to run the script on?

Sorry, I'm not familiar with scripting in PS :(
If it carries out a series of commands like an action, then I suppose you could create a droplet for the actions. You could then select all the images you want to perform the action on and export them all at once using an Export Preset with the droplet as the Post processing After Export function.

Sorry, this is guesswork on my part.
