Two pics, differing levels of photo shopping.
Color cast a huge problem with bith images, that made my mind up to shoot RAW from now on.

if those are the old style street lights - i found their colour temp to be around 2200k in my area. the composition of those is quite nice, good stuff :).
if you set 2200k the buildings would probably look a bit funky, but if u shot raw u could have always combined pics of two diff wb, eg. one for the car one for the bg.

Thanks for the comments.
I try to do as little in PS as possible if it isnt right in the first place i take the view it just isnt right.
The right hand image i printed up to A3 size, strangely enough even though somewhat darker overall the picture looked pretty decent.
But i guess the qwoes of printing, calibration etc are for a different topic area.

if it isnt right in the first place i take the view it just isnt right. With film, we used to use filters, different film for different effects, & even Adams did a LOT of darkroom work. But suit yourself.

Your WB looks a bit off.

I appreciate what you mean, other than brightness, contrast and perhaps levels im concious of altering all but the very basics.
Guess i should be a little more open to having a play with images.
