Suggestions for crop?

Gave the new 30D a spin on saturday and here's one of the pictures.

I like the idea of the "natural" framing of the wooden post, but find it too distracting as it is now.

Anyone has an idea to include the wooden post, or should I just go with my own crop?

Without the post and I would consider cropping out the guitar neck on the right at least as far as removing the white tuning knobs like this.

Agreed. I just made a quick convertion, so there's room for improvement, when I get the time to properly proces them

Thanks. It was the first shoot with the 30D, practicing with fokus on "*" (cf4-1), so it was quite challenging.

Well, Bob Lay always has spot-on advice.
In my humble opinion, the crop is much better--the "natural" wood frame just looks in the way to me. BTW, the tighter crop is even better--less distraction.

I only cropped the image Robert I didn't adjust anything else, I guess the cropping gave it a different feel maybe? Or when I reloaded it back on the web It changed in some way, that's weired.

There's a slight difference on my monitor at home, it could be a compression issues or something.

Or it could just be that the pole is gone.

Now, I don't know. When I compared them before, they looked different. When I open both in PSCS2 side by side they seem the same.

All said and done I think the crop makes for a better picture which is what it's all about in the end, lets leave strange phenomenas aside. :-)
