here's a shot of the trans-america building in downtown San Francisco. It's the well known pyramid that pretty much defines the city's sky line. I was wondering what you guys think of this shot. I was pretty much going for showing geometrical shapes, and kinda abstracting it abit. This was for one of my classes. The project was to shoot the same subject 12 times, so of course i had to get creative. During the class critique, the other students seemed to like it. So i was just wondering what you guys thought. Here it is. Any thoughts graciously welcome.

I like this a lot too, especially the way the pattern fades off into the distance, and the angle you took the picture on.

Good angle!

You've captured a non-traditional view of a building that most people would otherwise recognize. Excellent!

thanks! :D I'm glad that this shot isn't too "abstract" for everyone. I was afraid it might be. Any other comments also welcome.

Really wonderfull.
As an experiment, I would try the following. Merely to experiment since I am not sure whether it would improve the shot...
* sharpen it with Unsharp Mask
* Increase contrast by making the building a little bit whiter (instead of light grey) and the sky a little bit darker.

You mean more like this?

I left it without any adjustments, because for the class i'm in, we're not allowed to use any editing. Just images straight from the camera. But what do you think? does that look any better?

Hmmm not exactly. Now you made the building darker and more grey, instead of lighter and less grey.
