It had just finished snowing and still overcast when I took these shots. This male Cardinal eventually came in closer for a couple of brief moments and momentarily brightened up the day. Quite happy with these...:cool:

Two excellent images here Dan....love the contrast between bird and environment. Nice details and the bird pops in both images. If i recall this bird used to be your nemesis and now he is your best friend;)

Nice shots Daniel. That first shot has a nice compostion and the cardinal posed nicely for you. I love the details in that red (something I find very hard to achieve with cardinals). Both well done! :)

this bird is my nemesis , everytime I get a nice close shot there's a twig or I have bad light or somthing ,,, this is about as good as it gets for this bird ,,, super job buddy

I've been having the hardest time with Cardinals this year. My goal for this year is to capture a Cardinal as good as yours. Good job.

Both great shots, the second my favorite. Both winners for sure.
