Apache AH1 in a tactical environment stalking it's prey. Taken with an EOS 350D and 75-300mm USMIII lens. Hope you like them....

Great to get so relatively close to it/them.
Was this an exercise with public access and if whereabouts is the location? It would be good to try to get similar opportunities!

Nice shots, they look like US Apaches. I was trying to find Brittish markings on the craft. I see it on the tailboom now.

I'm no smurf...
Wasnt meant nasty, just thought you might have been groundcrew to get so close to an apache (for the uninitiated, a smurf is an oft used term for a member of the army air corps due to their sky blue beret)

Scotty,
I never took it the wrong way :)
I'm not in the forces but the aircrew comes to us most of the time. Especially the Wattisham crews who seem to like posing more than others!

Cool Apache shots... I'm always pleased to see Apache shots because I built them.
BTW, the Apache is the AH-64 not AH-1. The Cobra is the AH-1...
