This isn't a "What book do you recommend?" thread - as I've done my research. In fact, I've done the ordering as well!

Has anyone read this book:

Digital Wedding Photography: Capturing Beautiful Memories by Glen Johnson

What are your thoughts on it? I was browsing through it at Chapters today and it looked like a fantastic read. Lots of great info from everything on planning the details, meeting with the clients, posing, metering, after-stuff and the business of wedding photography.

Any comments are welcome :)

Oh! Great to hear :)

Look forward to reading it - they just shipped today so I think the point of no return has now passed me.

Anyone else enjoy this book?

I would have to say that I reread it from chp5-12 because there was so much valuable stuff in there
definitely a keeper on the shelf

I have it too, and it's definitely a favorite. Plenty to learn for beginners & plenty to reread as you advance along.

James, while you're at it .. the 70-200 2.8L IS I got about a month and a half ago is fantastic.

Also, bought the BG-E2 (grip for the 30d) last night, and I love it ...

You could always pawn off that ring ;)

Enjoy the book! I know I did :D

I'm sure there are lots of people in the market for one. Or even better, head over the Classified section and post "For Trade: Diamond Ring for L lens" LOL.

hahah i know the feeling... "i won't need a new camera for years (when i purchased the 20D 2 years ago)", "babe, i'm selling my 20D for a 1d2" ;) :D

I swear... getting into this hobby is worse then being a meth addict :D

I'm on to chapter 7 now, i can't put this book down!

"I swear, this 24-70 is all I need" ... (2 months later) "God damn this thing is crap. I need to get the 50 1.4 and the 85 1.4 and 17-55 2.8 IS"

The book is totally addicting!!

+ 1 (except the divorce part)

Hey, Amazon's lowest used price is just $3 less than new ... so think of this as an investment!
