This is my first post here, but I have been lurking amoung this thread for a while.
A little background:
I'm 19, been working at a Portrait studio for about a year (mostly family, children and pets). I love it tremendously but want to get involved in Wedding photography. Recently I was asked to photograph a friends Wedding. Beyond being excited and flattered, I'm extremely nervous with NO experience behind weddings.
I want to become an assistant Wedding photographer BEFORE the wedding to get some limited experience before doing this but I have no idea where to start. I stopped by two photography studios in my area (the only ones shooting weddings) but both declined my offers.
Tips??
And FYI: I live in California, about an hour out of Sacramento.
