My plans for buying a Digital Rebel or Pro1 have pretty much went to sh*t this last week after a few unexpected expenses jumped in my path  .

I now want to purchase a lens adapter (CKC will be my choice there) and several add on lenses and filters for my S45.

2 or 2.5 tele, wide-angle, macro, and three or four various filters are what I think I'll get.

I've seen tons of different lenses on ebay and elsewhere, but I have no idea what the quality of these different brands are. One seller claims that all of the more affordable lenses are all made by the same parent company and then sold under different names at different prices. Some of the more common cheaper brands include Opteka, Kenko, and Digital Optics, and more expensive Raynox and Tiffen.

Can anyone give me some feedback on what lenses/filters they are presently using and how much "bang for the buck" they are getting out of them?

Thanks.

I have the Tiffen 2x teleconverter and the Tiffen +7 and +10 macro lens for my S50. They are all of good quality. The teleconverter is a little soft on the periphery with wider lens openings. I am generally satisfied and the CKC lens adapter works well (although when I first got it the thread was a little rough and didn't thread easily). Now it is fine.
