what is everyone using?

With keeping in mind that this would only be for RAW conversions to cs2/cs3 which program would everyone use? I heard that cs3 will use the RAW tools from lightroom, but others are swearing by Aperture. thanks in advance

Lightroom all the way. It has the easiest approach for working with RAW files and I really like how well it integrates with Photoshop.

If all you are talking about is raw conversion.....none of the above. I still prefer C1 Pro for this.

You can't really look at this in isolation. Who is going to buy Lightroom only for RAW conversion when there is so much more to it. While I have Lightroom, I am still doing most of my commercial conversions in C1 which I am very comfortable with. I am using Lightroom for my personal work using that as an avenue to get to know the program. Right now I find that I can turn out a conversion faster out of C1 and when it comes to addressing my customers that is important. I am sure that in time I will get faster at Lightroom.

Being a windows only user I can't pass comment on Aperture but from what I have read it is getting mixed reviews. Some love it, others hate it.

Lightroom all the way. I used to use ACR, then Capture One. Now that some of the RSP technology is included in ACR4 which is part of CS3 and Lightroom, I'm sold and switched. The workflow is faster for me, and I really like the results from the raw conversions. Plus all the other features and modules in Lightroom further speed up my workflow. Doing 3K images a week from a 16MP camera, that speed is greatly appreciated!

Just started testing Lightroom this week. Was using the canon software before and it was just way too painful to process a wedding shoot. So far I am highly impressed. Its fast, clear layout and easy to learn, and I love the ability to enlarge the thumbnails right up. Its going to keep me sane ! Jono.

Still using CS2, lightroom sulks in the corner of my hard drive.
