I have a race care driver I will be shooting some promo pics for Friday, they are renting the track for a personal practice day, I have an idea for a shot..

I will be in a lead vehicle, car, truck, convertiable or something looking out the back and focused on the car as we go around the track, I am thinking if we maintain a constant speed and if I use a good shutter speed the car should be dead on and the track and all around the car should be very blurred...

Any thoughts, any one done anything similar?

I am thinking a 1/200 shutter or maybe 1/320 should be awesome for an amazing blur, maybe slower, may be a trial and error thing..

Any pointers or tips?

Then I'd shoot a few dozen down at 1/30 sec. How often will you get the chance to do that? ;) car, truck, convertiable or something I'd want a low car & shoot from the trunk. It should let you get a lower perspective & the back of the trunk should hold you in.
Have fun!

He is renting the track, we will probably try it one time to see how it goes, maybe a few laps like that.. so we will see how it turns out.. The trunk is a good idea.. and hope I dont fall out.. lol
