I almost thought this should be posted in the rumor section but after reading the article it sounds like they are prepaired to ship by the end of this year. Technically still vapor ware but real people have seen real working products and the video is there to show it.

The most amazing printers ever! (http://texyt.com/silverbrook+memjet+technology+available+desktop+ph oto+wideformat+hp+edgeline+comparison)

How about 5 second photo.

That's a mighty fast printer, I think I want one, or two, or three.

I don't get it. It's the same Epson/Canon, but with a huge head.

This might be a fake. LOL Someone wants to sell some stock and made a roll of print paper slide out. Notice no paper going in.

How do you define 20% coverage in a color picture?

How large is the gamut on that thing? How does it compare to epson?

What's the longevity?

I don't care about pages per minute. They mean nothing to me. I want cheap prints with large gamut. Did I mention CHEAP?

And what are the chances of those nozzles drying out?

I think they have to supply ink with a high pressure hose to that large format printer.

Wow. I just watched the video, so I'm not sure if what I'm asking was said. I wonder how much they will go for.

Sounds like $150-$200 for the deskjet sized printer

speed is cool but quality is all that matters in the end.

think about crappy deskjet computers that dell throws in...they print photos, but they are *$%#& junk so it doesn't matter how fast they'll print.

I'll believe it once I've seen it and read reviews....not just some video touting the speed.

I agree with Doc there. If they really are that uber, why not show the paper going in just to really show off?

Anyhoo, if this is real I'll definately be on my shopping list. :D

same here, Quality is where it counts. I want one...Just as long as the quality can match that of something 'comparable' to it.

Those seem pretty cool. Good find.

very cool indeed! quality and maintenance (dependability) will be issue's for me?
it looks like they use rolls of paper/substrate, which i am willing to think they will be the only ones to get it through. so maybe the printer will be very affordable but i bet ink and stock/paper will be expensive? lets hope its the real deal and other manufacuters get on board?

must say its fast!
