I have a customer who's three week late on their 2nd payment, with their wedding coming up in about ten days time that's probably not a smart position for them to be in. I'm not concerned about that, if they don't pay me i'll still turn up they'll just not see their photos until they pay for them. I'm going to add a late payment clause/penalty to my contract as well.

The ironic part - the customer runs a debt collection business!

I recently created a "statement of account" sheet that i've sent out to clients so they know where they're up to on payments and casually reminds them that payment is due. Perhaps you need to just send them a gentle reminder :)

They've been sent and invoice and two follow up emails, and they're well aware they're overdue. I have an appointment to go to see them Saturday, which will take me 3-4 hours, there's no way i'm going to do that if they haven't paid their bill.

Ya' know, I found the telephone to be a wonderful invention. Sometimes a simple phone call will solve all sorts of issues when the mail and e-mail has zero impact on the responsiveness of the client.

It's a PDA, it's my memory, otherwise I forget to do stuff. Since I work a regular job and do photography it's essential to make sure I stay organised.I have a PDA for exactly the same reason. But, my problem is even bigger, my gray cells are having problems regenerating and, I'm afraid, it won't be long before I remember the stuff that happened in 2nd grade, but can't remember my way home or what I had for dinner last night.

Ooops, what did I have for dinner last night - it's worse than I thought.
