Chinook HC2 of 18Sqn based at RAF Odiham on tactical manoeuvres (exercise) at a field location.
It was a 'very' dull and cloudy/dark day for most of the time which wasn't fun for photography.

Nice pics. My favourite helicopter.. Probably because if it's obscure looks. When I first saw one I wondered how it all worked with 2 main rotors and no rear one to keep it all balanced.. Awesome choppers for there size and age.

Great pics Rich.

I bet that was one pretty amazing ride to be on. Did you know the BUF would be doing it's practising there or did you just happen to be in the vicinity when it arrived?

Thanks guys
Nigel,
I know where they are and most of the time, when they will be 'around'.

Nice pictures despite the lighting. It is amazing what good pilots can do with the flying banana.

My favorite Army helicopter. :) Flew those babies all over Iraq. A fantastic aircraft. This baby hauls ass. It is the fastest Army helicopter because of no tail rotor. Great photos...

Great pics there, especially in the low light. Are they still running the Sat And Sun brigade out of there in Pumas??

Hi RTrider
Unfortunately im not RAF so im not sure what you mean. The location for this Chinook was not near Odiham if that helps. Think further west....ish... in a battle training area ;)
