Taken this evening outside my home. It was still light so I used settings of 1/250, f8, and 420ex to darken the background. I would like your thoughts on the results. Thanks in advance, Kevin

I don't like the black backgound so much, I would prefer a lighter brown maybe? The flowers have a nice rustic look, so thats why I think a more natural colour would 'go' better.
However, I think they are a very gorgeous subject, and I really like the composition and the sharpness of the flowers against the blurred background.

Thanks for the input. I really didn't plan on a black background it just sort of happened. I may shoot a couple more to see how it turns out lighter.

i really like the color, and the way the light hits the flower. my only quam would be that flower in the background. It lead the eye away from the main subject.

either way its a very nice pic
