After my disappointing results with the Eagle, I went back to the wharf and shot some GIFS (gulls in flight) to see if I still had a problem. Good old reliable gulls. Thanks for looking.

#1 Who is that down there?

Very nice. That third and last ones look like 3D. Real sharp. Did you use that 300 for these?

Thank you everyone, I appreciate the advice and comments that each of you give very much. You all have helped me to better understand photography this past year so thanks to you all!! :D:D:D

Mitch, yup, these were all shot with the Tamron 100-300, it never leaves the camera very much these days, kinda worried I'll wear it out before I make an upgrade. ;)

Trevor I use a 300mm Prime with a 1.4 TC for 420mm and it is a great Combination. The 1.4 TC still allows autofocus and it is still fast. For about $250 new and maybe $150 to $200 used. I can tell you it is a sweet combination.

I've thought about a t-converter, but was worried about losing IQ on this lens, plus its at F-6.3 @300mm. using the Xt the crop factor gives me 460mm so with the t-con I would have 460 x 1.4= 644, that I would like.:D
