OK, it's been 5 years since I took a photo pass through Big Bend. My job doesn't allow for much more than a long weekend, so it is time for another fly through. I will be in the park only one day from sun up to sun down, Saturday April 10th.

Anyone with Big Bend experience willing to lend some must see, must shoot places. I want to catch a nice sunset.

I know it isn't much of a photo trip, but you have to make the best of it!

Any ideas. We will be staying in Alpine..

The wildflowers there are probably very good right now. Try to catch the sunrise facing Santa Elena Canyon and the sunset in the southeastern part of the park to catch the beautiful colors of the Sierra del Carmens. Hopefully you will have some good weather.

You might take a look at the great web site http://www.virtualbigbend.com/.

It's maintained by your fellow forum user, fullmoontexas.com.
And it's nothing short of marvellous.

Best regards,
