We are pleased to announce the release of YarcPlus V1.7 beta 1 for Windows.

This version primarily adds EOS-1D support to YarcPlus.

In addition to 1D conversion support, we have created some unique and exciting viewing modes that enhance the viewing of 1D RAW files. These files only contain a 288x192 size thumbnail for viewing purposes (as opposed to the large embedded JPEG of CRW files). In
addition to viewing these small thumbnails or a full high quality conversion, YarcPlus also provides several additional viewing options. We hope that they are useful to you.

New in V1.7 beta 1
------------------
--Full support for EOS 1D (with a few exceptions..see release notes link below)
--A fully featured histogram is now displayed all picture displays.
--New high and low resolution viewing modes for maximum choice of speed or quality when viewing.
--Special 'large" viewing mode for 1D files.
--A new View JPEG button provides a medium res fast view mode for 1D files (see release notes).
--A new option allows files to be brought into the file list in an "unchecked" state
--more....

A note about ARF and 1D files
==============================
Initial evaluation using ARF (the Artifact Reduction Filter within YarcPlus) on 1D files is extremely exciting. Because the 1D file is already clean, ARF is able to be even more effective in optimizing the image than on D30 files. Also 1D high ISO files are not so swamped with Chroma noise. ARF is therefore able to reduce the overall High ISO noise in a very effective manner with little or no loss of detail. ARF can also be used very effectively in combination with Noise Reduction software such as Fred Miranda's ISOR Actions. I encourage you to expermient with ARF on 1D files of all ISO values, both with Mode 1 and 2 settings.

We hope that YarcPlus enhances your Canon RAW workflow.

All suggestions and questions are welcome at support@YarcPlus.com or on our message board.

Thanks from Bruce and myself...
