i've been seeing a few 30d grips for sale, and a couple of them say they are the "New Model" or "New Version"...... well what's the difference in their different one vs. the original?

I am no expert but I think there was a redesign of the grip some time ago since there was some problems with the screw holding the grip in place, it had a tendency of coming loose or sticking so you needed tools to get it off the camera. So the redesigned it...
Anyone?

problems with how it sat at the bottom of the camera, causing problems with the contacts IIRC. Some people customized there's but grinding and sanding the high parts so it sat flush with the camera.

are there any difference in the part or model number that would let one know that it is the new one or the old one?
