Hiya All,
Having completed building my new Pond Filter I thought I'd just have a peek inside to see how things were going, unfortunately there were numerous dead Tadpoles so I fetched out the foam filter mats to clear the Bodies & found this little critter alive & well, it about 15mm in length & it's head 3mm wide.
As lighting is my Forte, you can see I had no probs at all with all the water around :lol: what a nightmare, anyway hope you like despite the IQ ?
Cheers for now
Mark
BTW it's still alive n well :)

Hiya RM, Jeff, Pete, Leorooster,
Many thanks for your kind words & comments,
I have hundreds & hundreds of Tadpoles in my pond & a couple of dozen Damsel/Dragon Nymphs that I've spotted so far this year so hopefully I should get a good show come the time these Nymphs hatch out, that is of course if the bloody Sparrows don't scoff em like last year when I'd got my camera all set up to shoot a Dragon as it was emerging when bugger my boots if a Sparrow swooped down & took it on the wing
They say there's a shortage of Sparrows, well someone from the RSPB should pay my garden a visit 'cause I got em all ere.
That's enough of my prattle.
Cheers for now

Hi Mark. Wonderful captures.:) Great phrasing , composition and color make #2 a knockout image. Almost makes me wish I had a pond filter needing disassembly::rolleyes:
Hope y'all have a good weekend.

Hiya Irwin,
Many thanks for your kind words & comments,
Glad you like my Phrasings !!
It was quite by chance my looking in the filter, if the water hadn't sounded a bit weird running through the system I'd not have checked it for a week at least.
I've built this filter so that it shouldn't need touching for at least six months bar any mishaps, so far it seems to be doing the job really well fingers crossed.
Likewise you & Robin have a great weekend
Cheers for now

Hiya Linda, Artur, BE, Dave,
Many thanks for your kind words & comments,
Linda, I would love to capture an Emergence, I've seen many but as Sods Law always works in my favor things are always just outa reach, as you say lets hope I get lucky this year, watch this space but don't hold your breath.
BE, you gota get that pond goin, I'd hate not having one, I'm so lucky to have one I can't imagine a garden without a pond even when my kids were little I kept a pond, so many people fill em in when they have kids, I just fenced it of securely then removed it when they're big enough to be safe.
Dave, thanks for not being harsh on my lighting this was a pig of a job with all that water around you wouldn't believe how many shots I took for this, maybe you would
Cheers for now
