Had a blast while I was there and still can't get over the vastness of the track! Taken with 17-55 f2.8IS and 70-200 f2.8IS (Thanks Roger!)

Nice shots.
My friend has moved from the UK to 400 feet from the entrance of the ring. He now owns a hotel there! Hopefully I'll go for a visit in Summer!

Great shots.
You definitely need to drive it! It's one helluva track! One time when I was there on the track at the same time as us was a full race Dodge Viper.
The last time I was there I managed to get several pictures of cloaked and not so cloaked new cars. Ended up with several pictures printed in 'Autocar' magazine!

great shots Jeff.
Both lenses look like they work great.
The only time I have driven the track was in Gran Turismo 4
Does that count.
one hell of a track.
12 miles or so long and I'm going to say a fast lap would be around 7 mins 45 secs and that is really pushing it.
Great stuff.

If you own a 911 of GT3/Turbo vintage and are blessed as Walter Rorhl then you'd manage a 7.45. Maybe. Most people from my club, a lot of which are seasoned trackdayers and low level racers would suggest in an everyday car (say Nissan 350Z sort of speed) if you manage below 9mins you left your brains in the car park. Fastest lap I know of someone doing who I've personally met was about 8.20 in very highly strung Impreza.
In GT4 I've done a 5.30 but that's a different kettle of fish. ;)

nice!...all i had from that trip was some pic posted on germancarblog.com of the new Audi S5:)
but yea, if only I had more time and the weather would've been a tad better, I would've visited more shooting sites...really wanted to witness the Karrusel but was out of luck with that one.
