Some feedback from those in know would be appreciated. I am about to replace my monitor, and am looking to spend £200 - £250 max. What are the main features I should be looking out for - response time, contrast ratio, brightness etc etc.

Any advice greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

Simon.

Many LCD monitors cannot be properly calibrated for photo work. In addition, many of them provide different results when you change your viewing angle. In my opinion, a good CRT monitor and a calibration package which includes a colorimeter to measure the contrast and colors of the monitor is still the best way to go.

I'm confused! LCDs are TFT... ;)

I supposed you mean CRT? Some people swear by the color of CRTs, and it's true, you can get them better color matched.

If you want an LCD... get an Apple Cinema Display.
