Needless to say on the full size shot it is better but this is just to show how this combo works
400d camera used 1/400sec f8 iso 200.
it has been procssed and a little NR used- Manule focus so im thinking on the new mk3 this combo will be great using live preview

Well, I'd say it was fantastic. Certainly in focus and sharp enough.

I recently got that lens and I have the 2x tc, I just have had lousy weather since the lens came and I'm not taking it out in the rain just yet. Hopefully mine will work as well. Good work GyRob. (btw what does GyRob stand for? Not Gunnery Sgt by any chance?

I only use the 2X on the 1D body so I retain AF but it works really well if used correctly.

Great combo and a very good shot of the Mallard Duck. :-)
