Hiya All,

I'm trying to get a shot of the local Church in a drop & seem to be failing for some reason ??? up till now I've only managed to get a nearby Grave Stone which was a 20 ' away
Has anyone got any ideas or am I just biting off more than I can chew here ???

For the curious the reason I'm trying to get this shot is for the Vicar as a token thanks for letting me use the Church Yard as my Macro playground

Cheers for now
Mark

I hope you rotated this pic by 180' otherwise something spooky is going on :)- looks good :)

When I do flower refractions I'm putting the flower 1/2 to 1" behind the dewdrop.

Hiya Willy, Brian,

Many thanks for your comments & kind words,

Well I'm not sure what happen there, this is the 2nd attempt at replying to this as the first seemed to disappear into thin air

Brian, I tell ee uz lives een a wierd zorta vulluge ere everythin be topzy turvy n look out fur a vull moon.

I've tried getting as close as I can but then all I get is great stonework shots  & I've moved back in increments but just seem to stuff it up each time

I'm sure if I can get a gravestone in I must be able to squeeze the darn Church in somehow, back to the drawing board I guess, what's that about patience, practice, blood sweat n tears eh

Cheers for now
Mark

Ah sorry misunderstood :)
Only problem with getting the Church in is you'd need to be a fair bit back from the church plus the church would have to be fairly bright to show- ie the sun would have to be behind you.

Take a photo of the church, print it out, turn it upside down, put it a few inches behind the drop you want to shoot...

Hiya Brian, Dalantech,

DT, that's a great idea thanks but I'll persevere for a while more I don't go down that easy stubborn to the last but it always best to have a ' Conplan '

Brian, I think if I keep going to the Church yard folks round ere will begin to think I becoming a Convert or is it Pervert coz all you can see is my arse sticking up out the long grass, I'm sure folks don't believe me when I reply to the question, " What are you doing ", " oh I'm taking shots of Dewdrops " says I & of they trundle shaking their heads with a wry look on their faces

Don't worry about it Mark- the nosey parkers in the flats over the road think I'm a Moslem - prayer mat and bowing down in the middle of the lawn :)
