The local beach - shot with a 300D with standard lens on 18mm I think, uncropped, but compressed considerably.

Very good shot. We live in a hot bed of kite surfing activity, and those buggers have been a significant source of photographic frustration for me since I haven't gotten a decent shot yet. Makes me appreciate your shot all the more.

While I am pretty pleased at how it came out, it was very unplanned and spontaneous. I think it is lacking something, I don't know what.
Strangely enough, this following shot was the result of a little more organisation and prediction, and while I am pleased I captured exactly what I wanted to, I still think it's not as good as the one above.
