I took a little drive today to see what I could see.

First stop....

3 Mergansers...

... and some serious bed-head

Next stop...

These guys have a bad case of jet-lag.

Then I stopped to get a closer look at this one. Didn't seem to mind me getting closer. Anyone care to ID it? ;)

I also came across this little fellow...

Gotta love the bedheads, the grackles have made it back and the geese, but where is everything else?? Someones gotta scare those birds out of those warm southern states and get them moving North.:D Well done Shirley.

You're not kidding, Trevor. They're a little slow getting here. Thanks for having a look.

I thought it was a River Otter, but Trevor (Bromm) corrected me. It is a mink. After he took of I realized that I only had my zoom extended about 1/2 way. :-(

There's a decoy like that at Mount Stewart lagoon that fooled me badly one time.
The Red-wings are back, I've got them at my feeders.

Hi Dan,
This duck was at Millvale, where I saw the mink.
I didn't know Red-wings would go to a feeder. They don't come to mine. :-(

I've spent many hours trying to get a good shot of a mink with not much luck. At least now I know it can be done. Well done Shirley!

This guy didn't seem to very difficult at all. He kept walking toward me until a dog came along and scared him off. I only wish I had fully zoomed the lens. Darn.
