adding photos

i have uploaded the pictures i want and have specified the correct paths ad chmoded the folders yet nothing comes up :(

While far from an expert (I started using ee a few weeks ago), as I have recently started out I might be able to help.

Which version?

When you go to the upload page (in 1.5RC4) you fist need to browse for the photos and then click "Send to Server"

Then you need to select the files in step 2 and select the paths in step 3 (each should be highlighted) before pressing the "UPLOAD" button in Step 6. Did you do this?

What does appear when you load www.xxxxx.com/gallery or whatever your site location is? Do you see the index page but no photos? No thumbs? No microthumbs?

I think if folks here had a little more to go on it will be easily figured out.
