Welp, I did it

I buckled down and sold the Canon 55 - 200 lens and bought the Sigma 70 - 200 f2.8 lens. Hopefully It will get here in time for Thunder over Louisville and the opening of the Kentucky Derby Festivities

Hope you have as much luck with the lens as I have had. I went to Keeneland down in Lexington... didnt take the Sigma 70-200, although I should have... took the Canon 85mm f1.8 instead... still got some nice shots.

Hope you have a monopod... that lens can get heavy after a while.

Yeah.. I have a monopod. Thanks for the info.. I saw the weight.. but I figured any lens that size at f2.8 would weigh at least 3 lbs+

Compared to the Canon,. it is quite light and easier to handle IMO.. great lens. I'm sure you'll be pleased.
