According to Canon, the LH-DC58 lens hood is the one to get for the Pro90. Do you folks agree or disagree with this choice of hoods for the Pro90?

YES...at the widest setting, this works well unless you shoot consistently at the longer end then try something else, but when your at the shorter end you'll have to switch back?!

Does, the lens hood make much of a difference??? I have never tried it. I have read that it helps especially in bright sun to reduce flaring and stray light. Anyone have samples??? I am curious...

I purchased a Hama rubber hood, which is adjustable; it can collapse down pretty small and then extend out. It wasn't cheap, but it seems to be a good solution to the problem of getting some glare protection when you aren't set wide open.

I've got a high-quality UV (Hoya SMC) and I've still seen the hood make a difference if sun is shining on the filter/lens.

I use it all the time if not using the B300 telextender. I also keep a UV filter on and they both add protection to the lens as well as help shade the sun.
