undo card lock

i just got the sd900. very cool for a compact 10meg camerea.

some how i locked the card. how can i undo the lock protect or card lock ???

and how did i do that ?

SD card? If so, there is a physical slider lock on the left edge.

Hello folks,

People who have camera pop up "card locked" message/problem. (your card is unlock and never locked before) PLEASE READ this post before you give up on your camera. Please give it a try, take your last shot. It is the malfunction of the memory card sensor inside the camera, most of the time your camera is working just fine. It does not matter what brand of the card you are using and your card is unlocked.

I had the same "card locked" problem and I almost buy a new camera because my Canon A640 is out of 1yr warranty. Before I going to buy a new one I taken my last shot. I used a toothpick and fixed the problem.

Find one toothpick and go under the bright light. Look into the camera's memory slot, there is a small piece of metal sticking out at the side wall (Which side? it is the same side of the "lock" on your SD card). Use the toothpick and gently press the small piece of metal down several times. Then try to insert your "unlock" SD card. It should work now!

I hope this will help many folks out there who desperately looking for an answer. It doesn't guaranteed it will 100% works but it is solely based on my own experienced.
