Took this today with the 50mm f1.4 at f1.6, really pleased with how sharp this has come out as this lens doesn't seem to be that sharp wide open. C&C welcome, no PP just crop.

It looks fine to me, the eyes are in focus....think may be I'd have turned the camera round to portrait though.....what ISO did you use?

ISO 100 or 200 from memory, had to be, the lens was so wideopen. Yea thought about portraitafter i took it but he doesn't pose very long and then he gets bored and wants to play some more.

Dogs are difficult to photograph they always seem to know what your up to and would rather be playing LOL....any way nice shot....

The shot has potential. Why don't do post one after PP? I'd like to see this with a little more contrast and saturation. As is, you can tell it's sharp, but it doesn't pop like a portrait should.

Literally with 45 seconds of PP (so I know the edges aren't clean). If you mind, I'll happily delete the post.

I like the original image better then the PP only because I find the outline of the dogs head in the PP image distracting. I know the correction was done quickly so wouldn't be an issue if he was trying to make it studio ready - in any case a beautiful Weim!

Don't mind the edit at all, always open to suggestions. I can see where i could take this, i never really considered PP to be honest, I just liked it straight from the camera, but thats the beauty of Digital, we can always play after the fact.
