I have posted two quick comparisons between the D30 and D60, taken with the same lens same lights, thought some of you might like to see the results.

When I opened the d-30 eye shot, it was considerably smaller in size than the same shot with the d-60. Was that because of the Mpixel difference in the two cameras? As you can see by the question, I am not an experienced photographer, but am thinking about getting a camera anyway. Don't know which one to try to buy, though.
Thanks,

yes thats because of the MP difference, especially in the paper they are the same lens same focal point and distance (actually the lens was mounted on a tripod and the camera body was changed) so you can really see the difference, in terms of quality the D60 is about one third better image resolution and has some nice features that make it worth while. Low light autofocus is improved substantially. light up lcd and focus point is very nice, and being able to change parameters in camera is also a nice feature if you use it or shoot jpegs.

Thanks, for the reply.

I was told by a dealer that I should have my D-60 next week......hope so, but I'm not holding my breath. I am 3 down from the top on the list. I'm posting the same question all over the board...hope you haven't already seen it...????What does it take to make a quality poster size print from a digital camera such as th D-60? 24"X36".. If you have any suggestions, they would be greatly appreciated.

its pretty easy go to my website link below and download my photoshop action for interpolation, they can make very large prints of very high quality, you need photoshop 6 or better on PC or 5.5 on a mac I believe, you can see a couple of samples there from a d30.
