Man, Denny...you are one hard working dude! The lighting is about perfect. You still need something other than the bright white background, though.

Thanks G3 I have a couple other colors, beige and black but thinking whit may be the easiest to change out in PS. I really have not played with that yet but may later on. I figured If I could get the lighting right with white, the other colors should be easier.

Yeah, you are right about that. It will be a simple matter to change that white background in PS.
How do you get your kids to stay still for so many sittings? What do you bribe them with?

There's nothing much that has to be changed, except one thing. I think you'll need some umbrella-type diffusors to prevent seeing the two lights you used in front of the subjects reflecting in their eyes. Or use Photoshop  .

Totally gotta get rid of that effect. Otherwise, i agree...it looks great to me.

Thanks everyone for the coments, and I do forget to remove one of the lights from the eyes, am I right to leave one of the lights in the eyes?

These look a lot better. The shadows look great and create a lot of depth.
The background does need something. I'm not a fan of the idea of replacing it in PS - to me that's going too far. One thing you could try on the cheap is a gobo. Take a piece of thick or double-folded aluminum foil and punch a bunch of big random holes in it. Spray paint it black and put it in front of the background light so it shines a bunch of random shadows across the background. Try playing with the angle of the gobo. Try bigger holes so that there's little aluminum foil left. If you have a big piece of material try wrinkling and folding it so the light hitting creates shadows. Look at the boys' shirts - they're a lot more interesting than the white background. Anything to stop it from being a big, solid-white background, and it doesn't have to be much at all.
