Here is a photo taken from a small metal statue.
The background scene is the night natural darkness. The red shades are synthetically created by illuminating a laser pointer during the long time exposing to enhance the glorious and warmness feeling. Some digital processing also applied to.
The work is titled silver shadows.

How do you like it?
Any comments and ideas are appreciated.

The subject matter and creative ideas are on target I think the reflections could be sharper, just a small touch of PS could do wonders.
Do you have any other shots of this type?

Hey Vafa,
I copied and "Save As" the image and here is what I came up with:

It's not a drastic difference, but some levels brought out some subtle details.
I was suggesting before to possibly take another few shots getting the focus sharper in the original image but some sharpening did help out. Let me know waht you think.

Presently, I do not know what a sharper focus means for the Silver Shadows. I will repeat the shot with manual focus trying to find out the difference.

Simply to try to get the reflections more in focus. Using maually focus can help, once you have that locked on you can move back and forth till you get crisp lines. When I previously mentioned getting sharper focus I just meant it looked a little (and when I say little I mean very little) out of focus but not much.
Your picture is good I like what you did with teh laser pointer adding to the subjects light/reflect qualitites.
Please take all my comments with a grain of salt. :D No Worries :D

Hi Idoc
Here is a new shot. Much sharper, even after passing a blur process with P.Shop
Does it look better?

Yes I do, much improved. I like how the laser now more outlines the antler on the figurine. Good show!
