RC4 Problems using Copy/Move/Delete

Pekka,

When using the Copy function to copy pictures from one exhibition to another all the thumbnails and microthumbs for the pictures that I copy are deleted. I get the following messages when I do the copy:

msg 203064 | internal ftp: 665_CRW_1225.jpg: UPLOAD ERROR. Reason: readfile(../ftp_temp/665_CRW_1225.jpg): failed to open stream: No such file or directory

and

filename: 665_CRW_1225.jpg
THUMB 665_CRW_1225.jpg UPLOAD FAILED
MICROTHUMB 665_CRW_1225.jpg UPLOAD FAILED

in the report

Both exhibitioons use the same thumbnail directory, but I don't understand where the directory ftp_temp originates from.

I am able to upload files correctly to both the originating and receiving exhibition. Thumbs and microthumbs are created correctly.

I also get the same eroor if I try to move photos from one exhibition to another.

Please check that you have folder gallery/ftp_temp and that ftp_temp folder is given full permissions (chmod 777).

These folders will have to be 777 (GALLERY/ means here EE root):

GALLERY/temp
GALLERY/export
GALLERY/input/temp
GALLERY/input/UPLOAD
GALLERY/input/UPLOAD/test
GALLERY/input/UPLOAD/ee_temp_upload
GALLERY/input/backup/ee_backup_files

I had the folder but permissions were set to 755 and not 777, I must have missed setting this when I installed RC4. All working now

Hej Pekka,

I have this problem as well, and I followed your instructions above (I hope), and made sure the ftp_temp was 777. Still no luck.

Is it correct to have two CWD to the same directory?

Would appreciate some small hint of what I have done wrong.
Or is it just that the time here is 0330!

I have placed the EE and photos on the same level.

Found it, I thought the ftp_temp was located by the picture, but it was under the EE directory. When I fixed this permission, then everything worked like a charm!
