The high flying CSRA rolled into the Chicopee ski hill last weekend for the penultimate round of the regional championships last weekend. The weather looked promising on Friday with above average temps, but Saturday dawned overcast and as the green flag dropped for practise, a light rain began to fall. It kept up until noon and the show went on, but I really think that yet again, the corner workers and event staff were the true heros of the day. The racers, crews and spectators could take refuge in their trailers or the chalet, but the corner workers toughed it out.

After the lunch break, the rain stopped and as the day progressed, it got a touch foggy, but I did manage to get some shooting in. Sunday was overcast as well, but the rain held off and the racing was great.

He's back Jonathon Orr has returned to action, after a injury kept him out, and he's been getting back up to speed with each race.

Just like Mom Stacey Orr is trying to follow in her Mom's footsteps, and with riding like this, she could she herself clinch her first National Championship this weekend at the Horseshoe finale.

True grit After a horrifying crash on Saturday, a battered and brusied Mike Van Dolder came back to not only ride the Pro finals, but he picked up a second in Pro Open. This guy wants the number one plate and showed just how bad with a gutsy ride.
