Neat shot. Too neat. That desk is a crime.
If the rain keeps you inside and you live in Seattle - you don't get out much....

LOL Thanks for the comment. That desk is one of my rare furniture that's not made out of particle board. It's solid.... :)
Actually, I'm being held hostage by my friend and being force fed this green vegetable vomit drink to help "cleanse" my system. Send Help! :) I kid, I kid. It's not too bad if you like drinking liquefied lawn clippings... Yummm..... :P

I took the same shot not too long ago of my friends desk/computer. I then saved it to his desktop background. He jumped on the computer and had the most confused look on his face.

I'm interested in what settings you shot this at as I haven't had any luck getting a decent shot of computer monitors or TV screens, they always looks like crap. I've tried different shutter speeds without much luck yet.
Any tips?

It has to be a slow shutter speed, figure a TV runs at 30 or so frames per second. so thats 1 frame every 30th of a sec, so you have to get slower than that. Now a computer monitor I'd start off that slow and you may be able to go a little faster it all depends on the refresh rate of the monitor. Now you could always do what the pro's do and turn the monitor off and photoshop whatever image you want on to it.

I'm at work right now and my pictures are in my home pc. I'll post my settings to you when I get home. But, yes you do have to use a slow shutter speed. I just played around with the shutter speed until I got it right. I think I had it at 4 secs and f/22 but I'm not sure. I'll double check when I get home.

Ok, I'm finally back home.
Here's my camera configuration.
1) Shutter = 4 secs
2) Aperture = f/22
3) ISO = 100
4) Meter mode = Evaluative
5) Focal length = 24mm
6) Image Quality = RAW
7) Flash fired = No
8) White Balance Mode = Auto
9) AF mode = One-shot AF
10) Picture Style = Landscape (Sharpness = 4)
11) Noise Reduction = Off
12) Mirror lock = Enabled
13) Self-timer = 2 secs
14) Camera on tripod
I hope that help. Let me know if you have any other questions. :)

I did one of those Detox programs... it is scary what happens to your body at about the 3 day mark. crazy fun if you like hanging out in the bathroom.
I had the worst detox headaches from all the stored chemicals releasing and toxifying my blood. how miserable. I gotta cut down on twinkies and processed meats, lol.
Great Shot BTW.

LOL Thank god I'm not alone on this.
The first couple of days were pretty bad...
But, I actually feel a lot better now. I feel more awake and alert. If you haven't lived a relatively healthy lifestyle, the first couple of days are hell but the results are well worth it.
