I have just finished my first three photo shoots and I am needing to show the clients their proofs. I probably have shot close to 170 frames for each session. I would like for the clients to tell me which ones they would like me to edit. Does anyone know of a good and inexpensive way of doing this?
I am just trying not to edit 500 pictures. Just so they can tell me which ones they like.

I take the best few images of each pose and edit them to presentation quality and then put them on my website (fully watermarked) for them to review and choose the image(s) that they want prints from. I never show the customer out of camera work unless it is presentation quality already. There are times when you end up with more online proofs than might have wanted.
I have found this system works very well for me and haven't had any complaints from my customers. I will supply printed proofs if they want them but I do apply a charge for this which is refundable with an order over a specified amount.

You could use PS2 to generate proof sheets to email to your clients.

Lightroom. You can set it up to make a custom contact sheet and PDF it (way way faster than PS)
Or set up a website (see EXAMPLE (http://polisphotography.com/BINW/AlaskaAirlines/)) and email it an have them select the files (I email a PDF order sheet along with the link for now)
Eventually I'll have a Pickpic.com cart installed on my site to have a cohesive look and easy ordering system.
