I have a 10D and am unable to obtain razor sharp images. I use a 28-135mm zoom and it makes no difference if I use AF or MF, the pic's are not razor sharpe - what am I doing wrong or need to do differently??

Bill:
Are you doing any sharpening in your post-processing? Although a very good lens, the 28-135 is not quite as sharp as some others. Also, are you shooting JPEG or RAW? This would be helpful before attempting to answer your question.

To add on to what belmondo said, most pics will need some post processing work done. I find even shooting jpeg it needs some tweeking like sharpening/USM and some saturation increases for the most part and suchlike. This is not a p&s camera and it can be a fair bit more work to get the same results. That said, they are very attainable and will blow you away. Have a look around the pics that people have taken and you will see.

I use a 10D and a 28-200 and I usually have to do a little processing work in Photoshop before I get an image "just like I like 'em". That being said, the 10D and your lens are an excellent combo. Are you shooting in raw or jpg? What software are you using?

Are you referring to me, or the poster that started this?
