Bump.
There was a problem with the link, and some of you might have timed out when trying to view this. Everything works fine now.
It's an interesting picture.

The image has been corrected and is now viewable through the forum.
Please comment , anything is welcome I want a full critique.
If you hate it, love it, dislike it, think it's stupid, or some processing needs to be changed......really anything just let me know so I may improve. No comment could be too harsh, it's all constructive to me. :D

I like it. The tone works well here. The exposure looks good.
As for criticism, maybe you could have shot it from a slightly higher perspective? It may have given more of a sense of depth, if some of the handrails were included? Maybe adjust the angle a bit to rid some of the dead space on the bottom right? Perhaps a little more contrast in the midtones?
Then again, I don't know what you were going for here. You may have done exactly what you set out to do, and in that case, the photo would be perfect.
I would like to see it as I described above, but again, don't know your intentions. Also, I don't know that the perspective I am thinking of is even possible... there may be other obstructions.
This is why I don't critique very often, or put my photos in here. It's all really subjective, and I'm not good at critiquing at all. Of course there are brilliant shots, and horrid shots. I think most people shoot somewhere in the middle... then it's just a matter of finding the right audience... or someone who shares your "vision".
Overall, in my opinion, this is a good shot. Could it have been better? Of course, but every photo has room for improvement. It's all relative. I'll stop now before I start blabbering about something else :D

i like it, but how about using the natural color???
i like street photography.
Maybe try a wide angle shot of the same scene, but including the left side of the escalator. This will lead the eye up to see who is coming down.

Sorry, dont care for it.
Tehcnically, it is fine. For me, it is the subject. There is nothing there that would make me want to look twice. If I am going to look at a photo of somthing as common as an escalator, then I want that photo to be a perspective, an angle, a viewpoint, an intepretation, a shot that I haven't seen a million times before at Sears. If your client is an escalator manufacturer, and you are trying for a representative shot of thier product, you have done them well. If not, it is just too (am I allowd to say it?) pedestrian.

Wonderful this is exactly what I needed,
Laz: Again your insight (what you may consider blabbering) has helped my "vision" as how to approach this shot, I will have to get to this spot again and try those suggestions, I do not like the dead space to the bottom right :(
Ryuwulf: Thought someone might say that here is the original and a cross process:

Cross Process:

which one do you like better?
Radtech1: Thank you for your true critique, I very much need this. I grew accustomed to it in college and mostly from high school. I agree now that you have brought to my mind the "pedestrian" look. Very ordinary and somewhat blah. Oh if you want to know whats up the escalator check out "right side-up up-left side down" in the ascent/descent competition, I took this shot while standing waiting for people to get off the escalator.
