Sorry if this has been mentioned before, I ran a few searches but could not find this discussion.

I just bought a non Canon replacement battery that's rated at 1350mAh 7.4V. It's a generic brand bought in Hong Kong called "GOKI" and I paid $20 USD.

My question is, can I use it together with a Canon original rated at 7.4V 1100mAh without damaging the camera? -I plan on using them together in the battery grip.

Thanks

As long as the voltage is the same there's no problem. The fact that it's 1350 mAh just means it will last longer, just like putting a bigger tank in your car.

The original Canon BP-511 is rated at 1100 mAh. Some of the aftermarket BP-511 substitutes are 1300 mAh or more, so they should last slightly longer (in terms of number of shots before recharging). Some even have a slightly different terminal voltage spec, like 7.4v versus 7.2v, and that is not a big deal. Also note that after you've charged such a battery up to maximum, its terminal voltage will be very high, like 8.4v, and that is perfectly normal also.
