I want to be able to amplify the light in my home for infants and baby's, both mine and friends.

I want to use natural light, without flash, So I thought reflectors would work good.

I have no experience with reflectors but will be shooting with my 350D and either EF 50mm 1.8 or EF 85mm 1.8.

I am looking guides/help me/tips for shooting with natural light w/ reflector use, along with models and brand recommendations.

Thanks

honestly I would use white foam core and get in close, just out of the frame. Big reflectors are a pain and need an assistant really, and can be VERY bright. This just adds in a little fill and is very soft and subtle.

Do you have a example of a white foam core?

Not to be to nubish, but I haven't much with lighting EQ.

Thanks

Unless you have a lot of natural light not even a reflector will help you much. You'll have to shoot wide open with a high ISO in order to get a good shot of kids. They move way too fast.

Basically, I want to do what I can to produce professional baby and infant pictures at home, I really don't have any EQ now and was hopping I could use window light and reflectors, anyone have other idea's?

What does it take to get the black background effect seen in so many baby pictures? Anything I can touch for under $500
